Canton: City workers collect recycling on trash pickup days as part of a curbside program operated in partnership with the waste district. Items go to Kimble’s transfer center on Bolivar Road SW, then to the company’s Twinsburg facility.
Massillon: “Most everything is either handled through Kimble or through the Stark-Wayne-Tusc solid waste district,” said Massillon’s Street Superintendent Lee McBride. Kimble operates curbside pickup, and the waste district collects items at 3 drop-off sites.
North Canton and Alliance: Kimble collects recyclables through curbside programs.
Jackson Township: The voluntary drop-off center on Wales Avenue NW accepts recyclables. It also operates with help of the waste district. Workers separate, bale & sell the material on site.
Canal Fulton: Republic collects recycling & processes it in its Green Star recycling facility in Poland, said spokesman Russ Knocke.

Kimble Companies’ plant in Twinsburg processes 20-25 tons of trash per/hr. After sorting, plastics and other materials are compacted into bales for manufacturers.
