A grant for Community Recycling Assistance was secured by Copley Township recently to establish preventative measures for to stop contamination within their recycling facility. The grant for $17,304 was issued by Summit ReWorks. The funds will be used for various security improvements to the collection site included gate locks, surveillance cameras, and personnel. The site was recently closed due to significant problems. Marcie Kress, executive director of ReWorks, explained that the “financial means and support” will assist with maintaining the drop-off center for residents of Copley. Such grants have been provided to local municipalities across the greater Summit County region.
